Privacy Policy
ApaNakMakan ("we", "the app") is published by Ahmad Fadli Bin Ahmad Dahlan on the App Store and by Todak Studios Sdn. Bhd. on Google Play. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we keep the data small.
What the app collects
- Your filters and picks. The categories you select and the dishes you like or skip. Stored on your device, and in your account if you create one, so the app can learn your taste.
- Location, only when you ask for nearby places. When you tap "where to eat this nearby", your current location is sent to Google Places to find restaurants within 10 km. We do not store a history of your locations. You can deny location access and the app still works without the nearby feature.
- Account details, if you sign up. Email address and a display name, held by our backend provider Supabase in the Singapore region. Creating an account is optional. You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
- Purchase status. If you buy Premium, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive only a confirmation that your account is Premium, never your card details.
- Diagnostics. Anonymous crash reports and basic usage counts so we can fix bugs. These are not linked to your name.
Advertising
Free tiers of the app show ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to limit ad repetition and, where you have consented, to personalise ads. You can reset or limit this identifier in your phone's settings, and Premium removes ads entirely. Google's use of data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not read your contacts, photos, or messages.
- We do not track your location in the background.
- We do not build a profile of you from social media.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers needed to run the app: Supabase (accounts and data), Google Places (nearby search), Google AdMob (ads on free tiers), Apple and Google (purchases). Each acts on our instructions. When you tap a delivery link, you leave the app and that provider's own policy applies.
Retention
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Anonymous diagnostics are kept for up to 90 days. Email addresses submitted on the website's "notify me" form are used once, for the launch announcement, then deleted.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your rights
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@apanakmakan.com. We answer within 21 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you on next launch and this page will show the new date.
